The Yellow Ribbon Support Center sponsors several fundraising events annually to supplement the donations we receive from our supporters. The April 9th Dinner is one of our largest fundraisers. The dinner is held every year on April 9th, the date Matt Maupin went missing. June Izzi-Bailey is the event coordinator for this gala and she does an outstanding job. All donations raised at this annual event is for the purpose of providing scholarships in the name of local fallen heroes. Since 2008, we have also established scholarships to represent at least one fallen hero from each of our fifty states. June arranges many other fund raisers throughout the year to benefit the Let Us Never Forget Scholarships. Please visit her site by clicking in the left sidebar menu. Every July, the YRSC sponsors the Yellow Ribbon Support Center Ride. This bike ride collects monies for a scholarship fund set up for local students in the name of Matt Maupin. Local school districts are advised of the number and amount of scholarships available and students may apply through their guidance counselors. Frequently, community businesses will choose the Yellow Ribbon Support Center for their annual charity event. Monies received from these events as well as donations from our supporters, people like you, will go toward the cost of postage for sending packages to the soldiers. Most of the items that are sent in the packages are donated by people who just want to help. If you are interested in donating money, items for the soldiers or best of all, your time, please contact the center for details. (513) 752-4310. If you would like to help on any event we may have going on, please give us a call. We could always us an extra hand or two.
